Hans Kissle

Keeping a food brand as fresh as their products

01.

The Need

Hans Kissle is a food manufacturer specializing in deli salads and other prepared foods sold by grocers all over the country. When they came to us for brand strategy work and a new website, we told them not to worry, our eyes aren’t bigger than our stomachs. (Okay, we didn’t say that, but we should have.) Either way, we knew we could dish out a website that would help them stand apart to grocers of all sizes in a saturated market, especially among competitors who are all doing relatively the same thing.

The Approach

The first thing we tackled was an in-depth competitor analysis, followed by interviewing a number of Hans Kissle’s current clients. We quickly learned that many of Hans Kissle’s competitors were talking about food freshness and tastiness, but nobody was discussing their capabilities, or the service they were providing. We saw this as an ownable space for the food brand, especially after learning that the main reasons clients continuously come back to Hans Kissle include how flexible they are, how responsive they are, how enjoyable it is to work with them. This gave us key differentiators to focus on, and a clear path forward.

The Solution

Hans Kissle liked our recommendations so much they ended up moving forward with a logo redesign to top it all off. The team at 36 developed a responsive system of logo designs that was super relatable, slightly folksy, and family friendly. We carried this look and feel over to their website, and when telling their brand story, we made sure to outline key differentiators, such as safety certifications and how much work goes into ensuring top quality. After working with 36creative, Hans Kissle can keep their brand as fresh as their products for years to come.
