The Need

Tranquillo is a soothing mat for babies that vibrates and makes a gentle humming noise; imitating the experience babies have in the womb and calming them almost instantly.

36 was paired with Tranquillo as part of the Ad Club’s 2016 Brandathon competition. Tasked with a complete brand overhaul for their product, we set out to offer a complete package of branded marketing materials that has greatly influenced the company’s continued success.

The Approach

To communicate Tranquilo’s transformative qualities and set the tone for the brand, 36 developed a new brand essence and tagline for the company: ”enjoy every minute.” We also prepared Tranquilo for big box stores by creating a new logo, innovative product packaging, textile patterns, in-store graphics and a clean, responsive website design concept that was created to make ecommerce purchases extremely easy on mobile devices.

To add a real, relatable quality to the brand, our marketing strategy incorporated playful, irreverent messaging in social media, traditional, and experiential advertising. Ranging from conventional print, to guerilla marketing, down to a meme-style strategy for instagram, we wanted potential customers to see Tranquilo wherever they were!

The Solution

A custom-branded experience that combines the soft, sweet innocence of a newborn baby with truthful humor and relatable realness. The brand appears both premium and approachable while showcasing plenty of wit and charm.

The Outcome

Tranquillo has enjoyed many successes since working with 36, including an appearance on the hit TV show Shark Tank and the honor of becoming a 2016 Mass Challenge Gold Winner. The company continues to grow with the industry, regularly making new heads turn with their product and associated branding.
